I will be honest, I totally spaced this photo challenge today. I didn't remember until Becca was bathed and in bed. I looked it up and saw the challenge was grass. Oops, it was already dark. I almost didn't post tonight, planning to get a picture tomorrow when it was light. Then I thought, it is nice out tonight, and maybe a shot of grass in the dark will be a cool perspective. So I grabbed my camera and headed outside.
I am still at my mom's until Wednesday. I absolutely love the smells of Central Oregon. The night was warm, the skies were clear, and I could hear frogs in the back. I laid on the grass and just looked at the stars, breathing in deeply all the smells I miss. I just got lost in my thoughts for awhile....
It was a nice end to a very hectic few days. I really needed that! Oh, wait! I almost forgot to take the picture! So here is grass at night while laying down stargazing, getting lost in my thoughts.
This is more than just a picture of grass. After a week of preparing and planning, guests and out-of-state visitors, taking care of Becca and false labors (all while living out of a suitcase) it was so nice to steal away alone for a bit and just enjoy the quiet. It is all thanks to this photo challenge!
I hope you were able to find peace in a busy day, and take a moment to appreciate the beauty around you!
